Payment Accounts Act (ZKG)
The new Payment Accounts Act entered into force on 1 January 2024.
The ZKG governs the provision of a basic account with limited services and the facilitation of national and cross-border account transfer service within the European Economic Area (EEA). It also governs various transparency and information obligations regarding the disclosure of fees associated with the most representative services of a payment account.
